The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) successfully conducted the Computer-Based Examination (CBE) for the recruitment of Constable (GD) and Rifleman (GD) from 27 April to 30 May 2026. The recruitment drive aims to fill 25,487 tentative vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Assam Rifles.

SSC GD Result and Merit List
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to declare the SSC GD Constable Result 2026 through an official result notification along with one or more merit list PDFs. What Happens After the SSC GD Result 2026?
Candidates who qualify in the SSC GD Constable Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will be shortlisted for the next stages of the recruitment process. The SSC GD Result 2026 only determines eligibility for further selection and does not guarantee final appointment.
After the result is announced, shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), where their physical fitness and eligibility will be assessed as per the prescribed standards. Candidates who successfully clear the PET/PST will undergo Document Verification (DV) to confirm their educational qualifications, identity, category, and other required certificates.
The final stage of the recruitment process includes a Detailed Medical Examination (DME) conducted by the designated medical authorities to ensure candidates meet the medical fitness standards required for service in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Assam Rifles.
