About SSC MTS Result 2026

The SSC MTS Result is released by the Staff Selection Commission to shortlist eligible candidates for the next stage of the recruitment process. For the Havaldar post, candidates qualifying in the written examination are called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST). Meanwhile, candidates who have applied only for the MTS post will have to wait for the Commission to announce the final result and post allocation after the PET/PST process is completed.

As the examination was held in several shifts, SSC has used the normalization method to calculate candidates’ scores. This ensures that no candidate gains an unfair advantage or faces a disadvantage because of differences in the difficulty level of question papers across various shifts.

Tie Resolution Criteria

Sometimes, two or more candidates obtain the same normalized score in the examination. In such cases, SSC follows a predefined tie-breaking process to determine the merit order.

The tie is resolved in the following sequence:

  1. Candidate securing higher marks in General Awareness.
  2. Candidate with higher normalized Session-I marks.
  3. Candidate who is older in age.
  4. Candidate whose name appears earlier in alphabetical order.

This method helps the Commission prepare a fair and transparent merit list whenever equal scores are recorded.

Withheld Results, Malpractice and Debarred Candidates

SSC has also published details regarding withheld results and candidates found involved in unfair practices during the recruitment process.

According to the official notification:

  • 2 candidates have had their results withheld due to suspected unfair means.
  • 727 candidates have been identified for alleged malpractice during different stages of the examination.
  • 169 candidates have been debarred by various Regional Offices of SSC for violating examination rules.

Candidates whose names appear in the malpractice list are allowed to submit their representation before the concerned Regional Office within the prescribed time, as mentioned in the official notification.
