What is CM’s Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan?

CM’s Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan is a self-employment and entrepreneurship scheme launched by the Government of Assam. The main purpose of the scheme is to provide financial support to eligible people who want to start their own business or income-generating activity.

Instead of depending only on government or private-sector jobs, the scheme encourages eligible youth to become entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities for themselves as well as others.

Under CMAAA 2.0, the Government of Assam expanded the programme to cover 75,000 new beneficiaries.

Financial Assistance Under CMAAA 2.0

The amount of financial assistance depends on the category of the applicant and the type of activity being undertaken.

Applicant CategoryMaximum Assistance

According to the Assam Economic Survey 2025-26, the assistance for the general category is structured as 50% grant and 50% interest-free loan. The professional category also follows the applicable grant and interest-free loan structure.
