Bodoland University B.Ed Admission 2026

Bodoland University has officially started the B.Ed/M.Ed Admission 2026–27 process for admission to its affiliated colleges. As per the admission notification issued by the Academic Registrar on 16 June 2026, the online application process commenced on 18 June 2026 and will continue until 10 July 2026.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed programme must submit their applications online through the Samarth Admission Portal. The university will accept applications only in online mode, and no offline application forms will be entertained. Before applying, candidates are advised to carefully read the eligibility criteria, required documents, and other admission guidelines mentioned in the official notification.

In addition, Bodoland University has announced the B.Ed/M.Ed Entrance Examination 2026 schedule along with the syllabus, exam pattern, marks distribution, and list of examination centres. The entrance test is scheduled to be conducted on 25 July 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Candidates should complete the application process well before the deadline and begin their preparation according to the prescribed syllabus and exam pattern.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed Admission

To be eligible for Bodoland University B.Ed Admission 2026, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria prescribed by the university:

  • Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks. Candidates who have secured less than 50% in their undergraduate degree must have obtained a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their postgraduate degree to be considered eligible.
  • Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are entitled to a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks, as per the university’s admission rules. This relaxation is applicable only to SC/ST candidates and not to other reserved categories unless specifically notified.
  • Government teachers deputed by the Government of Assam for the B.Ed programme must upload a valid Study Leave Certificate or No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by their employer while submitting the online application.

Candidates are advised to verify that they meet all the eligibility requirements before applying, as admission will be granted only to those who satisfy the prescribed criteria.

Selection Process

Admission to the B.Ed programme at Bodoland University is based on the Central Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the university. The entrance examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying a total of 100 marks.

The final merit list is prepared on a 100-mark scale, with 60% weightage assigned to the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Test and 40% weightage based on the CGPA/percentage obtained in the undergraduate degree. Admission is granted strictly on the basis of merit and subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions.

Candidates must ensure that all information and documents submitted during the admission process are genuine and accurate. If any false, misleading, or forged document is detected at any stage of the admission process or even after admission is granted, the university reserves the right to cancel the admission immediately and take appropriate action.

All matters relating to admission, including eligibility, merit preparation, and seat allotment, shall be decided by the Bodoland University Admission Committee, whose decision will be final and binding on all applicants.

Bodoland University published the exam pattern and syllabus for the B.Ed/M.Ed entrance test in a notice dated 3 July 2026. The test has 100 MCQ-type questions and runs for 2 hours. The paper is split into four sections covering General English, General Knowledge, Reasoning and Numerical Ability, and Current Indian Education. Exam City Centers for B.Ed Entrance Exam

During the online application process, candidates are required to select their preferred examination centre for the B.Ed/M.Ed Entrance Examination 2026. Bodoland University has designated seven examination cities across Assam to facilitate candidates appearing for the entrance test.

The available exam centres are Kokrajhar, Chapaguri, Mushalpur, Tamulpur, Udalguri, Morigaon, and Barpeta. Applicants are advised to choose the examination city that is most convenient and nearest to their location while filling out the online application form.

Candidates should select their preferred exam centre carefully before submitting the application, as requests for changing the examination city after the submission of the application form may not be entertained by the university.

Reservation Quota

Bodoland University follows an 80:20 seat distribution policy for admission to most postgraduate programmes. Under this policy, 80% of the total seats are reserved for meritorious students from Bodoland University and its affiliated colleges, while the remaining 20% of seats are allotted to eligible candidates from other UGC-recognised universities based on merit.

However, this seat reservation policy is not applicable to the B.Ed and M.Ed programmes. Admission to these programmes is open to all eligible candidates who have obtained their qualifying degree from any recognized university, subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria and qualifying in the Bodoland University B.Ed/M.Ed Entrance Examination 2026. Selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit and the admission rules notified by the university.

Note: Bodoland University follows the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Assam and the university’s admission guidelines. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates are entitled to 10% reservation, which is calculated from the total unreserved (General) category seats.

Candidates applying under the OBC/MOBC category must upload a valid Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate issued for the current financial year. Applications submitted without a valid and up-to-date NCL certificate may not be considered under the reserved category.

In addition, 20% of the total seats are reserved for candidates who have qualified through CUET (Common University Entrance Test). If any of these CUET-reserved seats remain vacant after the admission process, they will be filled by eligible candidates who have qualified in the Bodoland University Entrance Examination, strictly according to the university’s merit list and admission rules.
