NEET UG Result 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the result of NEET (UG) 2026 on 16 July 2026. Out of close to 20 lakh candidates who appeared in the re-examination held on 21 June 2026, a total of 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses. Scorecards are now available on the official website of NTA, and candidates can download theirs using their application number and date of birth.
The highest score of 715 out of 720 was obtained jointly by Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana, both securing a percentile of 99.9999. The result was released in time to keep the medical admission and counselling calendar on track. NTA has also published the final answer key, category-wise cut-off marks, and the full lists of top rankers, state toppers, and category-wise toppers on its website.
The original NEET UG 2026 examination held on 3 May 2026 was cancelled by NTA following allegations of a question paper leak. The re-examination on 21 June 2026 was conducted under tight security across 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, in 13 languages.

Exam Name: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026
Purpose: Admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BVSc & AH, and BSc Nursing courses across India

What the NEET 2026 Scorecard Shows
The scorecard displays the candidate’s personal details, subject-wise marks in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology, total marks obtained, percentile score, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, and qualifying status for counselling. You should keep a soft copy of your scorecard until the admission process is complete, as it is required at every stage of counselling.
NEET UG 2026 Result Statistics
Close to 20 lakh candidates (19,99,895) appeared for the examination, and 11,21,185 qualified. Qualified candidates emerged from every one of the 36 States and Union Territories, ranging from over 1.7 lakh in Uttar Pradesh to 43 in Lakshadweep. More than 58 per cent of the qualified candidates are women, and women qualified at a higher rate than men: 56.8 per cent of the women who appeared qualified, against 55.1 per cent of the men.
The score distribution among the top performers is as follows:
- 19 candidates scored above 700 out of 720.
- 138 candidates scored above 690 marks.
- 1,492 candidates scored 650 and above.
- 10,160 candidates scored 600 and above.
- 90,780 candidates scored 500 and above.

NEET UG 2026 Cut-off Marks (Official)
NTA has released the official qualifying cut-off along with the result. A candidate must score at or above the cut-off marks for their category to qualify. The category-wise qualifying percentile and minimum cut-off score are given below.

Note: The qualifying cut-off is much higher this year. For the General category at the 50th percentile, the cut-off has risen to 213 marks, against 144 in 2025 and 162 in 2024. This is because a large number of candidates scored high in the re-examination, which pushed the percentile marks up. Qualifying is only the eligibility bar for counselling and is separate from the score needed to secure a government MBBS seat, which is decided during counselling.
NEET UG 2026 Toppers
A total of 138 candidates scored above 690 out of 720, of whom over 93 per cent were appearing for NEET for the first time and 99 per cent were between 17 and 19 years of age. The top 17 rankers, who scored more than 705 marks, come from eight states: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Assam Candidates in NEET UG 2026
For students from the state, the Assam topper in NEET UG 2026 is Shubh Prasad, who secured an All India Rank of 133 in the General category. A total of 18,435 candidates from Assam qualified out of the 36,283 who appeared for the examination. Qualified candidates have emerged from every North-Eastern state, and the state-topper list covers all 36 States and Union Territories.

- Visit the official NTA NEET website.
- Open the NEET UG Result 2026 link.
- Enter your application number and date of birth.
- Submit the login form.
- Your NEET result and scorecard will appear on the screen.
- Check your marks, percentile, rank and qualifying status.
- Download the scorecard for future use.
- Print a copy for the counselling and admission process.
The scorecard may include the candidate’s photograph, signature, subject-wise marks and total score. Check every detail carefully after downloading the document.
