Candidate must have at least 55% marks in the postgraduate degree from a relevant Indian University or equivalent degree from an approved foreign university and must clear the NET / SELT / SET maintained by UGC CSIR, separately for a relaxation SC / ST facility. 5% for Graduate or Master’s level for the purpose.
Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in compliance with the UGC Regulations 2009 are exempt from the NET/SLET/SET eligibility criteria.
A 5% concession (from 55% to 50% marks) may be granted to Ph.D. degree holders who earned their Master’s degree before 19/09/1991.
As of 01/01/2023, candidates should not be older than 38 years.
Candidates will have to qualify by the deadline to submit the application. Eligibility such as MPhil / PhD / Seminar Publication may be obtained and submitted outside the date of Papers / interview and not beyond.
